(Zanesville, OH) — Orthopaedic Associates of Zanesville (OAZ) is pleased to announce that board-certified and fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon, Roberto A. Brandão, DPM, FACFAS, is now seeing patients in Zanesville.
“I am looking forward to spending time both in Zanesville and at Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Center in central Ohio,” Dr. Brandão said. “My presence in Zanesville offers patients the ability to stay in their communities for all foot and ankle care, including surgery. They will no longer have to travel to larger cities like Columbus or Cleveland because bringing outpatient services to their local community reduces the need for extensive travel.”
Dr. Brandão specializes in the treatment of foot and ankle disorders ranging from sports injuries, Achilles ruptures, ankle sprains, arthroscopic surgery, ligament and tendon repair, total ankle replacement, Charcot reconstruction, bunions, hammertoes and foot and ankle fracture care.
“Dr. Brandão will be extending service offered by our practice that has not previously been available in our community,” said OAZ President Benjamin Pulley, MD. “He is splitting time between OAZ and Orthopedic Foot and Ankle in Worthington.” Initially, he will be at OAZ on two Mondays every month. He is also securing time at Northpointe Surgical Suites to bring local patients to surgery. The goal is for them to be seen without having to leave town.”

An alumnus of the renowned Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Center Fellowship, Dr. Brandão completed his surgical residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) where he served as Co-Chief Resident. He completed his medical degree (DPM) from Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, CA and completed his undergraduate education at Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI.
