Tom has been a valued member of the OFAC team since 2010. His passion for patient care and fascination with modern medicine led him to pursue a career in healthcare.
As a multi-sport high school athlete and collegiate football player, Tom sustained many sports related injuries. He researched and educated himself on his injuries and became intrigued with the human body and how the body heals itself. It was then that he knew he wanted to become a healthcare provider, treating patients with orthopedic conditions.
Tom’s vision for patient care and team approach to treatment exudes the values and mission of OFAC.
“Patients deserve the best care. They are not a body part, but a person who deserves a provider who is attentive to all their health concerns. I believe that the provider and patient are team. By educating and including patients in the decision process it helps them understand their diagnosis and allows them an expedited and successful recovery.”
Tom, originally from Akron, now resides in Lewis Center with his wife Miriam and two children, Caitlin and Connor. He enjoys running, lifting weights, and OSU football. In addition to his duties at OFAC, he also lectures and works with the Ohio Dominican University Physician Assistant program as a clinical preceptor and associate professor in orthopedic surgery.
