A Review of Lisfranc Ligament Injuries

Dr. Terrence Philbin and Dr. Jaymes Granata, an OSU resident, recently had an important article published in The Physician and Sportsmedicine Journal titled Midfoot Sprains, A Review of Lisfranc Ligament Injuries.This journal is dedicated to the health and wellness of active patients and the clinicians that treat them. The article discusses a common injury called a Lisfranc injury that is often misdiagnosed and treated. The injury occurs usually after an axial load on a plantarflexed foot, similar to these illustrations. Dr. Philbin’s article gives clinicians a better understanding of the injury, how to diagnosis it, as well as treatment options for patients. Congratulations Dr. Philbin for another great accomplishment!
