OFAC new class of Fellows.

A Warm Welcome to Our New Class of Fellows!

At Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Center (OFAC) in Worthington, Ohio, we are incredibly excited to welcome our new class of fellows: Dr. Isaac Wilmot, Dr. Karissa Badillo, and Dr. David Calderwood. This is a significant moment for us as we continue our long-standing commitment to training the next generation of leaders in foot and ankle surgery.

For more than two decades, the OFAC fellowship program has been a cornerstone of our practice. Our goal is to provide a high-volume, hands-on experience that goes beyond a standard training year. We aim to help our fellows become exceptional surgeons by exposing them to a wide range of conditions, from routine forefoot issues to complex hindfoot reconstruction, sports injuries, and advanced total ankle replacement.

What sets our program apart is its unique combination of academic rigor and real-world practice. Fellows work side-by-side with our team of nationally recognized surgeons, gaining a deep understanding of evidence-based practices and developing the critical decision-making skills that define a great surgeon. They are encouraged to take on an appropriate level of autonomy in both the clinic and the operating room.

Beyond surgical skills, we provide comprehensive training in the business side of medicine, including office management and operational efficiency. This holistic approach ensures our fellows are fully prepared to succeed in today’s complex healthcare landscape.

We also place a strong emphasis on research and education. Our fellows contribute to scholarly projects that advance the field of foot and ankle surgery and are involved in teaching, which helps them hone their communication and leadership abilities.

Our fellowship graduates become part of a close-knit network, collaborating on educational projects and staying connected through a strong professional community. We are incredibly proud to have trained many of the foot and ankle surgeons who now practice throughout central Ohio and across the country.

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Dr. Wilmot, Dr. Badillo, and Dr. Calderwood. We look forward to a year of growth, learning, and continued excellence in patient care as we work together to shape the future of orthopedic foot and ankle surgery.
