An alumnus of the renowned Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Center Fellowship, Dr. Brandão joined Orthopedic Foot & Ankle (OFA) in 2023 after caring for patients throughout Baltimore and the surrounding region with the CAO/Orthopaedic Associates of Central Maryland Division. During his time in Maryland, he was recognized as a Baltimore “TOP DOC” each year from 2018 through 2022. Since joining OFA, Dr. Brandão has continued to earn recognition for his clinical excellence and was named a Top Doctor in Columbus in both 2025 and 2026.

Dr. Brandão completed his surgical residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), where he served as Co-Chief Resident. He earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) with honors from Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California, and completed his undergraduate studies at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan.

Actively involved in research and education, Dr. Brandão has authored several peer-reviewed journal articles and lectures at national and local meetings. He has played an integral role in the training of surgical residents and fellows and currently serves on the fellowship faculty at OFA. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, and is board-certified in Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery. Additionally, he serves as a reviewer for the Foot and Ankle Specialist journal.

Dr. Brandão offers the latest nonsurgical and surgical treatment options, including minimally invasive procedures, arthroscopic surgery, ligament and tendon repair, total ankle replacement, and fracture repair. His goal is to provide individualized, evidence-based care that helps patients return to the activities they enjoy as quickly and safely as possible.
